Karen Gilbert is a serial entrepreneur and the co-founder of Student Fitness Experts, a nationwide fitness company headquartered in Los Angeles, CA. Student Fitness Experts is a revolutionary fitness company that creates dynamic programs for students, home school fitness and nutrition, and workshops for organizations such as the Girl Scouts. SFE has created its own certification that trains and certifies coaches to most effectively mentor and help students with their fitness goals.
Karen received her MBA in Entrepreneurial Studies from the University of Southern California, and has taught the NASM curriculum to aspiring personal trainers. Karen is a master trainer for NAFC, a BOSU ambassador and teaches pre/post natal fitness to other new moms.
She is the recipient of the first IHRSA Emerging Female Leader Award. In 2007 IHRSA named her one of the 25 most influential young leaders in the fitness industry.
Michael Olajide, Jr. is a former champion boxer and international fitness expert. Michael Olajide, Jr. quickly gained the attention of leading directors including Spike Lee, Michael Mann, and George Wolfe, who asked him to serve as a consultant on their films and theatrical productions.
Born in Liverpool, England, Michael and his family moved to Vancouver, Canada in 1970. At age 18, Michael began his career as a professional boxer trained by his father, Michael Olajide, Sr., and renowned boxing coaches Hector Rocca and Angelo Dundee.
Michael has served at fight choreographer on Spike Lee’s Subway Series for HBO, the feature film Ali starring Will Smith, Paradise for Showtime, and the feature film Black Dahlia starring Mark Wahlberg. Michael has also worked as fight choreographer on a number of theatrical productions including Blade to the Heat at the Shakespeare Public Theater, Golden Boy at City Center in New York City, and Undefeated starring actor/director John Leguizamo.
Michael is co-founder, director of programs, and chief instructor at AEROSPACE.
